Under the Tree

Under the tree we met

The tree with red flowers.

New souls in the summer

We were the newcomers.

No worries in our hearts yet,

Smiles on our face cast.

Under the tree we chatted

The tree with leaves greener.

Friendly in the rainy weather

We were each other’s helper.

Goals in our mind set,

We’ll do our very best.

Under the tree we sat

The tree with branches barer.

Good friends in the winter,

End of term drew nearer.

The snowy scene was blessed

Our empty hearts cracked.

Blissful Me

My life is not full of celebration

Nor is it a beautiful creation.

My life is not full of laughter

While it is filled with bitter tears.

My life is not full of joy

Nor does there exist something divine.

Yet I find it so blissful

To sometimes stay near you.

So, I decided I would keep

This very memory to my heartbeat.

The Silent Goodbye

Pearls of tears from her eyes

Falls on to the emerald body.

Deep inside her broken heart,

There are waves of misery.

Unwanted memories lie

Clearly on her mind.

Sees him twist in agony

Nothing is within her reach.

Trying to sooth the bird,

She could feel the heat.

His sufferings must be plenty,

The eyes were telling.

Desperately he fluttered the wings

Touching her heart with unknown pain.

Looking fondly up at her,

He tried to call her name.

But, while to her body clinging,

His “Goodbye” was said silently.

The New Plant

Long ago I sowed a seed

In the ground very deep.

Hoping a lot that one day,

The plant would make me gay.

Giving me flowers and fruit,

The plant in my thought was cute.

But sometime later I learnt,

The plant had no charm.

Bearing not leaves but thorns

The plant made my hands torn.

And yet I wondered every day

Hoping it would change some day.

With no flowers, let alone fruit

The plant put me in a bad mood.

I saw a bug recently,

Sitting on the plant happily.

It was then I decided

Digging out the plant was best.

Now, there’s a hole in the soil

Where the plant used to lie.

I’ve decided to keep it blank

Till I receive a flowery plant

There the new plant will stay

Till my very last day.

The Noisy Silence

I sit alone at the table,

The table under the tree.

I look around everywhere

Find no one near me.

Around me all seems quiet

As if nothing was alive.

When I listen my best

Some noise seems to arise.

I hear the squirrels chatting

On the branches above me.

And hear the birds singing

A sad song for me.

The wind walks through the leaves

Making a rustling sound.

The dog near me keeps

Dancing without a sound.

Now I hear everything

The sound of noisy silence.

And my heart starts singing

Our Clients

A song of remembrance.
